Mark Crumpacker Drives Marketing Results with Creative Strategy

Mark Crumpacker is a passionate marketing specialist with years of creative storytelling experience. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated an aptitude for successfully driving marketing results using nontraditional strategies. In the past, Mark Crumpacker has overseen a number of innovative digital marketing initiatives, including the development of app- and web-based e-commerce solutions and social media campaigns. After leaving Chipotle, Mark joined the Softbank-funded startup Zume as president of the culinary division where he was tasked with leading the Company’s culinary-related ambitions to modernize the global food supply chain system.


Previously, as the chief marketing & strategy officer at Chipotle Mexican Grill, Mr. Crumpacker created numerous media projects as part of the firm’s marketing strategy. Among these were Hulu television programs, iTunes shows, and short film, one of which garnered two Daytime Emmy Awards. His creative digital marketing content has also obtained an array of other prestigious awards, including an AdWeek Brand Genius Award, 23 Cannes Lions, and 12 Webby Awards. Due to his diverse experience in the realm of media content production, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences accepted Mr. Crumpacker as a voting member in 2013.


Also a skilled corporate strategist, Mark Crumpacker has worked on multiyear plans and annual planning procedures. He draws upon his knowledge of consumer and human behavior to establish benchmarks for the development of brands and their products, and guide brands through periods of significant transformation.


Throughout his career, Mark Crumpacker has also proven himself to be an adept business executive. During his two years as president and COO of gay and lesbian media outlet PlanetOut Inc., he oversaw the acquisition of many similar companies. After successfully guiding the firm through an initial public offering, he helped orchestrate its sale to another organization. A graduate of the ArtCenter College of Design, Mr. Crumpacker began his career as CEO of the marketing and development firm Studio Archetype.
